===== RA =====

The RAs are Caltech graduate students who are available for guidance and consultation and are familiar with the resources on campus. They have been trained to handle day-to-day challenges, as well as emergency situations that may arise.

===== Health Advocates =====

Health Advocates are trained to respond to situations in the Hovse and within the campus community that require emergency first-aid, attention to routine medical problems, peer counseling, or crisis intervention.

===== Peer Advocates =====

Peer Advocates are trained in basic skills necessary to engage in a supportive consultation with a peer in distress. They know about different mental health concerns common to the university population and to Caltech, and how to recognize and support their struggling peers. Relevant topics of knowledge include: relationships and intimate partner violence, substance abuse, depression, eating disorders, LGBTQ issues, and/or grief and bereavement.

===== IMSS Representatives =====

The IMSS Representatives act as liaisons between the Hovse and the Campus Computing Organization. They are responsible for the upkeep of Hovse computing facilities, such as printers and public computers. They are trained in technical issues and are paid to help you with such matters. The comptrollers are elected by the house to manage Hovse computing facilities and are also IMSS Representatives.

===== Equity and Title IX Advocates =====

The Equity and Title IX Office addresses issues of unlawful discrimination and harassment on the basis of race, national origin, ethnicity, sex, pregnancy, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, and other individual characteristics protected by federal and state law. Unlawful discrimination and harassment encompass racial harassment, sexual and gender-based harassment, and sexual misconduct. Equity advocates are trained to deal with related matters.
